This is a fun event for children, during the Greytown Arts Festival. This event is kindly supported by the South Wairarapa Rotary. There are two parts to this event:
Lego Design Competition
Children aged 4 - 13 can enter an original Lego Design that they have buillt at home themselves. This must be an original design, not one copied from an image on the Lego pack. One design per child please. These pieces must be brought to the Manchester Unity Hall on Sunday 24 January at 9:00am and will be on display on the Sunday and Monday. They can be collected at the prize-giving on Monday at 4:00pm.
Speed-Build Competition
Open to Year 2 - Year 8 students, with a special category for 'Nanas and Grandpas'. Entrants form teams of up to 3 people and enter in their age group by filling in the entry form, and handing the form into the Greytown Librarians by Friday 22 January. Teams must arrive at the Manchester Unity Hall, Hastwell St at the stated time for their age group. Teams will be given a random bucket of Lego and build for 10 minutes, then their creations are judged and prized will be awarded.
Speed-Build Times
Year 2 & 3 (6 & 7 yr olds) 9:30am
Year 4 & 5 (8 & 9 yr olds) 10:00am
Year 6 & 7 (10 & 11 yr olds) 10:30am
Year 8 (12 & 13 yr olds) 11:00am
Nanas & Grandpas 11:30am
Please arrive 5 minutes before your team is due to start.
