Our key musical event is an evening concert by the Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra to be held in the Kuranui College Performing Arts Centre (Te Whare o Moroa) on Saturday night, 23 January. The orchestra is hugely popular, selling out at many New Zealand Festivals and appealing to audiences across age groups and musical genres. Three well known professional chamber music players - Peter Barber (viola), Robert Ibell (cello) and Vicki Jones (double bass) join forces in a unique programme of music featuring the three lower string instruments. Who needs violins anyway? Sunday afternoon, 24 January, 4:30 PM performance at St. Luke's Church on Main Street. See more

An evening of Blues music focusing on the history of the Blues in America from it's origins in the plantation fields, through Gospel and the country blues of the Mississippi Delta to the electric Blues of today. We will be featuring some of our best Wairarapa Blues Musicians, including Bob Cooper-Grundy, Kate Marshall and Pat McKenna. Sunday evening, 24 January at Cafe Trends.

Join us at the outdoor venue alongside the Greytown Town Hall on Saturday and Sunday of the festival weekend for a great mix of music, from Sam Manzanza's African drumming to the Jewish folk music of the Klezmer Rebs!

Join in our Ukulele jam session on Saturday, 23 January at 3:00pm at our Main & McMaster outdoor venue along side the Town Hall. BYOU (Bring your own Ukulele). For the keen among you who would like to get up "on stage" join our organizers Trish Webster and Juanita McLellon for two advance practice sessions. These will be held on Saturday, 16 January at 11:00am and on 7pm Wednesday, 20 January at the Kuranui College auditorium.
